Role & responsibilities

- Operate and monitor HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, HT/LT panels, MCC panels, PCC panels, and distribution systems.

- Handle day-to-day operation and maintenance of the power house and electrical distribution system.

- Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, power factor, and load.

- Carry out routine inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.

- Attend electrical breakdowns and troubleshoot faults to minimize machine and production downtime.

- Perform switching operations in HT/LT systems as per approved safety procedures.

- Maintain and monitor transformers, DG sets, APFC panels, batteries, UPS systems, and electrical protection systems.

- Ensure proper functioning of electrical safety devices, relays, breakers, isolators, and earthing systems.

- Maintain electrical logs, inspection records, breakdown reports, and preventive maintenance records.





- Coordinate with the electricity board / statutory authorities when required.

- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety rules, statutory requirements, and company procedures.

- Conduct electrical isolation, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and permit-to-work procedures before maintenance activities.

- Support electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.

- Coordinate with contractors and service agencies for electrical maintenance and statutory inspections.

- Ensure proper housekeeping and safety standards in the power house and electrical rooms.

- Respond to emergency electrical situations and restore power safely.

- Guide and supervise electricians/helpers during maintenance activities.
