nKey responsibilities

nØ Portfolio financial management

n

n
- Own portfolio budget/funding plan and maintain a single source of truth for assumptions and phasing.
n
- Track actuals vs forecast, burn rate, cost-to-complete; investigate variances and drive corrective actions.
n
- Run regular portfolio cost governance (approvals, tolerance checks, audit-ready documentation).
n
- Support business cases / investment requests with robust cost estimates and scenarios.
n
- Produce executive reporting and insights on funding status, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
n
- Partner with Project/Programme Managers, Finance, PMO and senior stakeholders to align funding with delivery milestones and priorities.
n

nØ Business Management / Workforce Management

n

n
- Coordination and assurance support: Coordinate key governance and assurance activities, including risk and control reporting (regulatory and internal), gap analysis, compliance assurance, thematic reviews, internal audits, third-party engagement management, data management and tax compliance.
n
- Stakeholder Communication - managing effective communication with CIOs, operations managers,



workforce leads, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on workforce optimisation plans.
n
- Monitor the implementation of plans and ensure effective change control processes are maintained as necessary to meet objectives.
n

nØ Collaboration & ways of working

- Work within Agile delivery; participate in refinement, planning, reviews, retros.

- Partner with IT COO, workstream, product to improve data quality, observability, and pipeline stability.
n
- Coach peers on program management best practices; raise the overall quality bar across the squad.

nRequired skills & experience

n

n
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
n
- Proven 5+ years’ experience in regional or functional financial budgeting, strategic planning, communication, and people management processes for Technology essential
n
- Numerically literate, with ability to distil complex and varied data into meaningful information.
n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication in English; comfortable challenging assumptions.
n
- Good process analysis and problem-solving skills, ability to identify process improvements
n
- Detail-oriented with strong controls mindset; able to work to deadlines across competing priorities.
n
- Strong Excel/financial modelling; reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and PPM tooling (e.g., Pioneer/Looker/Clarity/JIRA) preferred.
n
- High integrity with the ability to work with sensitive information
