Main Purpose of Job:

We are seeking a Platform Testing Engineer to validate Linux/RHEL-based platforms for telecom, security, and cloud-native environments. The role includes testing OS installation, upgrades, hardening, Secure Boot, PKI/certificates, IPsec, GPS/PTP timing, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and 4G/5G RAN integration. Candidates should have strong Linux/RHEL expertise, hands-on experience in security and telecom platform validation, and proficiency in automation, log analysis, and CI/CD testing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Validate Linux/RHEL OS installation, upgrades, hardening and kernel updates.
- Test Secure Boot, signed images, TPM, PKI, certificate lifecycle, and trust-chain validation.
- Validate IPsec, GPS/PTP timing, and 4G/5G RAN integration including DPDK, SR-IOV, and tuning.
- Perform security testing for Linux, Docker Platform, SSH hardening, access control, compliance, and audit logging.
- Validate Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platform deployment, networking, and security controls.
- Analyze system, security, timing, IPsec, and application logs for debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Build Python-based automation frameworks and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage test plans, defects, and traceability in Jira and Confluence.
- Support customer integration testing, issue triage, and defect closure.

Education, Skills, Experience:





- Bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1012 years of QA experience, including at least 5 years testing Linux/RHEL platforms and security features.
- Strong hands-on Linux/RHEL skills (kernel, systemd, package management, debugging, troubleshooting).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container security validation.
- Understanding of 4G/5G RAN application integration on Linux/RHEL platforms.
- Hands-on experience validating GPS/PTP timing systems, synchronization accuracy, and telecom timing workflows.
- Experience with IPsec testing (IKEv2, ESP, strongSwan/Libreswan, DPD, rekeying).
- Secure Boot validation experience (UEFI, signed bootloaders/kernels, TPM).
- Strong certificate management and PKI knowledge (X.509, CA hierarchies, CMPv2/SCEP/EST, CRL/OCSP, OpenSSL).
- Strong log verification and analysis skills (system logs, journalctl, kernel/dmesg, IPsec logs, timing logs, Kubernetes logs, cloud logs, and application logs).
- Experience with packet analysis tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Python test automation with PyTest or Robot Framework, plus exposure to AI-assisted testing tools.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Bitbucket.
- Experience leading /mentoring QA engineers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Work full time from the Bangalore office location.
