## Key responsibilities

Plant operations and generation

- Lead round-the-clock operation of the boiler, turbine, generator, electrical systems and balance of plant.
- Prepare generation plans and monitor plant load factor, availability, auxiliary consumption, heat rate and equipment performance.
- Investigate outages, generation losses and recurring faults; implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate scheduling, metering and operational matters with the relevant electricity and regulatory agencies.

Fuel and inventory

- Plan biomass requirements based on generation targets and seasonal availability of mustard husk, Juliflora and other approved fuels.
- Coordinate with procurement on fuel quality, moisture, pricing, transport and stock levels.
- Control fuel handling, storage losses, consumption and inventory reconciliation.

Maintenance and reliability

- Own preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, shutdown planning and critical spares.
- Coordinate with equipment suppliers and contractors for repairs, inspections and technical support.
- Maintain equipment histories, breakdown records and root-cause analysis.

Safety, environment and compliance

- Enforce safe operating procedures, permit-to-work practices, fire protection and emergency response.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pollution-control approvals, labour requirements, electrical safety rules and other plant permits.
- Maintain accurate statutory records and prepare the plant for inspections and audits.

People and cost management

- Lead shift engineers, operators, maintenance staff, stores and site contractors.
- Set responsibilities, train personnel and maintain adequate shift coverage.
- Prepare and control operating budgets,



with particular attention to fuel cost, consumables, maintenance and avoidable generation loss.

Management reporting

- Submit daily generation and fuel reports, weekly performance reviews and monthly operating results.
- Report deviations against targets with quantified causes, corrective actions and expected resolution dates.

## Candidate profile

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Power Engineering.
- Substantial experience in thermal or biomass power plant operations, including leadership of a plant or major operating department.
- Working knowledge of AFBC/biomass boilers, turbine-generator systems, fuel handling and plant performance monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to manage plant teams, contractors, shutdowns and operating costs.
- Experience commissioning or stabilising a biomass plant will be preferred.

## Performance measures

Performance will be assessed against agreed targets for protected operation, plant availability, generation and PLF, auxiliary consumption, fuel consumption and cost, equipment reliability, statutory compliance, and accuracy of operational reporting.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
