Experience Required:

Minimum 10–20 years in CNC/VMC machining and plant operations, preferably in Aerospace, Automotive Precision Components, or Defense manufacturing.

Qualification:

- B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering
- Additional certifications in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / TPM preferred

Job Summary: The Plant Head – CNC/VMC (Aerospace) will be responsible for overseeing the entire plant operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality assurance, on-time delivery, cost control, and team management. The role demands a strong technical background in CNC & VMC machining, knowledge of aerospace standards, and proven leadership in managing medium to large-scale manufacturing setups.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production & Operations Management

- Plan, schedule, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Oversee CNC, VMC, and other precision machining operations ensuring optimal machine utilization.
- Ensure OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), productivity, and minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production activities.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

- Maintain and enhance AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards compliance across production processes.
- Work closely with the Quality team to minimize rework, rejection, and scrap.




- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for quality issues.

3. Process & Technology

- Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement systems.
- Identify process automation and tooling improvement opportunities.
- Review and optimize CNC/VMC programming, tool selection, and machining parameters for efficiency.

4. Maintenance & Equipment Management

- Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor machine health and ensure minimal breakdowns.
- Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of all measuring instruments and machines.

5. Manpower Management

- Lead a team of production engineers, supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff.
- Plan and execute training and skill development programs for the workforce.
- Foster a culture of safety, discipline, accountability, and teamwork.

6. Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Design, Quality, and Dispatch departments for smooth workflow.
- Review production plans in line with customer requirements, delivery schedules, and inventory levels.
- Ensure adherence to cost, productivity, and delivery performance targets.

7. Customer and Audit Handling

- Handle client visits, technical audits,



and third-party inspections.
- Support business development by coordinating with the marketing/sales team for new projects.
- Ensure full compliance with aerospace customer specifications and documentation requirements.

8. Safety, Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards.
- Maintain documentation for all audits, ISO/AS certification requirements, and production reports.
- Prepare and present MIS reports on production, quality, efficiency, and cost metrics.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent technical knowledge of CNC/VMC programming, fixturing, and tooling.
- Knowledge of aerospace machining materials (Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, etc.).
- Proficient in CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and MS Office tools.
- Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing and cost reduction techniques.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience & expertise)
