1. JOB PURPOSE

The Planning Manager will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing planning and coordination, starting from customer orders and sales requirements through raw-material planning, purchase, stores, production, quality, manpower coordination, and final product delivery. The primary responsibility is to ensure that production runs continuously without material shortages, excess/blocked stock, manpower shortages, quality-related stoppages, or unnecessary production delays, while meeting customer delivery commitments and controlling manufacturing costs.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Order & Production Planning

- Study customer orders, sales orders, delivery schedules and production requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
- Plan production according to available machinery, manpower, materials and delivery schedules.
- Prioritize production based on customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor planned vs. actual production and take corrective action.

B. Raw Material Requirement Planning

- Prepare raw-material requirements based on confirmed orders and production plans.
- Calculate requirements for LED components, PCBs, drivers, housings, wires, electronic components, packaging materials and other production materials.
- Maintain advance material availability planning.
- Identify shortages and excess/slow-moving stock in advance.
- Prevent production stoppages due to material shortages.

C. Purchase Indent & Procurement Tracking

- Prepare and coordinate purchase indents based on production requirements.
- Track purchase indents through approval, purchase order, supplier confirmation and material receipt.
- Coordinate with Purchase/SCM regarding pending materials.
- Maintain critical-material tracking and escalate delays to Management.

D. Stores & Inventory Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores regarding material availability and consumption.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels for critical materials.
- Monitor shortage, excess, rejected and non-moving materials.
- Ensure materials are available before production requirements.
- Avoid both stock-out situations and unnecessary excess stock.

E. Production Department Coordination

- Coordinate daily with Production Managers/Supervisors.
- Release production plans based on material availability, manpower and order priority.
- Monitor production progress against planned quantities.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.
- Re-plan immediately when material, manpower, quality or order conditions change.

F. Quality Department Coordination

- Coordinate with Quality regarding product specifications and inspection requirements.
- Monitor rejected, rework and hold quantities.
- Identify quality-related production delays.
- Coordinate corrective action to minimize production disruption.




- Ensure quality clearance is completed within the planned schedule.

G. HR & Manpower Coordination

- Coordinate with HR regarding manpower requirements.
- Prepare manpower requirements based on production plans.
- Inform HR in advance regarding additional manpower requirements.
- Coordinate replacement requirements for absenteeism and manpower shortages.
- Ensure production plans are aligned with actual manpower availability.

H. Sales Department Coordination

- Coordinate with Sales regarding confirmed orders and customer delivery commitments.
- Provide realistic production completion dates.
- Communicate production/material constraints affecting delivery.
- Re-plan production for urgent orders as required by Management.

I. Final Delivery Planning

- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Quality, Stores and Dispatch.
- Track pending quantities against every customer order.
- Ensure finished goods are ready according to delivery schedules.
- Monitor production completion, quality clearance, packing and dispatch readiness.
- Ensure there are no unnecessary delays between production completion and final dispatch.

1. END-TO-END PLANNING RESPONSIBILITY

Customer Order → Sales Order → Production Planning → Raw Material Requirement → Purchase Indent → Procurement → Material Receipt → Stores → Manpower Planning → Production → Quality Inspection → Rework/Approval → Finished Goods → Packing → Dispatch → Final Delivery The Planning Manager must ensure that every stage is properly coordinated and that potential delays are identified and resolved before they cause production stoppage or customer delivery failure.

1. ERP & MIS RESPONSIBILITIES

- Strong working knowledge of ERP-based production planning.
- Experience with Focus ERP or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Maintain order-wise production planning and tracking in ERP.
- Monitor material availability and production status.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly planning reports.
- Prepare planned vs. actual production reports.
- Prepare material shortage and pending purchase reports.
- Prepare order-wise pending quantity and delivery status reports.
- Submit regular MIS reports to Management.

1. KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Planning Manager will be expected to:
- Maintain uninterrupted production through effective advance planning.
- Minimize production stoppages caused by material shortages.
- Minimize excess and unnecessary inventory.
- Ensure production is aligned with customer orders.
- Achieve planned production targets.
- Improve on-time customer delivery.
- Reduce production waiting time and avoidable downtime.
- Coordinate manpower requirements effectively.
- Maintain accurate production and material planning data.
- Identify future problems in advance and take preventive action.

1. DAILY MONITORING

The Planning Manager should review:
- Customer orders and pending orders.
- Daily production plan.
- Production achieved vs. planned.




- Raw material availability.
- Critical material shortages.
- Pending purchase indents.
- Pending purchase orders/material receipts.
- Stores stock position.
- Manpower availability.
- Production capacity and bottlenecks.
- Quality rejection/rework/hold status.
- Finished goods availability.
- Dispatch and delivery status.
- Critical issues requiring Management intervention.

1. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in LED Lights, Electronics, Electrical Products or similar manufacturing industries is required.
- Solid practical experience in end-to-end manufacturing planning is preferred.

The Planning Manager will act as the central coordination point between Sales, Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality and HR. The person should not only prepare plans but must continuously follow up, monitor execution, identify deviations and ensure corrective action.

1. SALARY & CTC

Salary Offered: ₹45,000/- to ₹55,000/- per month Salary may be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, technical knowledge, manufacturing exposure, planning capability and overall suitability for the position.

1. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate should be a senior manufacturing planning professional with a minimum of 15 years of practical experience in LED/Electronics/Electrical manufacturing, capable of managing end-to-end planning rather than only preparing production schedules. The candidate should have the ability to understand the complete business requirement, anticipate shortages and bottlenecks, coordinate multiple departments, and ensure that materials, manpower, production capacity, quality clearance and delivery schedules are synchronized with customer orders.
