Role Description The Planning Engineer role is a remote contract position responsible for supporting project planning and control across multiple civil engineering assignments. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and updating project schedules, coordinating with project teams to track progress, and identifying variances between planned and actual performance. The role involves analyzing resource requirements, production plans, and timelines to optimize project delivery,



as well as contributing to risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

The Planning

Engineer will collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and QA/QC teams to provide explicit, data-driven reports and ensure alignment with client expectations. The position requires proactive communication with stakeholders to maintain accurate documentation and support decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong Planning and Production Planning skills for developing, monitoring, and optimizing project schedules and resource utilization.
- Robust Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and support risk assessment and performance improvement.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present clear reports to stakeholders.
- Experience in Project Control, including schedule tracking, progress reporting, and variance analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar software).
- Understanding of construction processes, cost management, and QA/QC principles.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in consultancy or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
