Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Piping Designer with 5–10 years of experience in mechanical/piping design and a strong hands-on background in CADWorx. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed piping designs, 3D models, layouts, and design documentation while working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams.

The role requires solid design and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate engineering concepts into accurate and practical piping solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and modify 3D piping models and layouts using CADWorx.

Prepare detailed piping drawings, layouts, and design documentation as per engineering requirements.

Interpret engineering specifications, P&IDs;, equipment layouts, and other technical documents.

Support the design and development of piping systems and mechanical components.

Review designs for accuracy, constructability, dimensional compliance, and adherence to project specifications.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to resolve design-related issues.

Incorporate design changes and engineering revisions into drawings and 3D models.

Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting,



and continuous improvement activities.

Maintain accurate design records and documentation in accordance with organizational processes.

Support R&D; and new product/design initiatives by developing and refining mechanical and piping solutions.

Mandatory Skills

5–10 years of relevant experience in Piping / Mechanical Design.

Robust hands-on experience with CADWorx – Mandatory.

Good understanding of piping design principles, layouts, and engineering drawings.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, piping layouts, and technical drawings.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Additional / Preferred Software Skills

Knowledge of any of the following will be an added advantage:

Autodesk Vault

Windchill

SAP

SolidWorks

AutoCAD

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong background in mechanical/piping design, preferably within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or R&D; environment.

Experience working on design development, testing, modification, and refinement of mechanical/piping systems.

Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple design activities and deliver outputs within project timelines.
