Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include
- Advertise the service and provide quality leads
- Understand oncology medications and dispense drugs as prescribed by the treating oncologist
- Maintain the patient care database by entering current information as it becomes available
- Maintain the operation of the unit dose area and drug mixing room
- Dispense medications according to established procedures and applicable laws
- Verify findings and reports to support data accuracy
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
