We make physical things work.

Applicators. Dispensing systems. Packaging. Mechanisms. Components. Material interactions. Things that move, click, flex, seal, meter, wipe, lock, dispense and apply.

And quite often, things that do not exist yet.

Neural Hinge is looking for two Physical Product & Mechanism Development Leads to join us in Delhi.

Do not let the word Lead put you off.

It describes ownership, not age, designation or how many years you have spent working.

You could have 15 years of experience. You could have two. You could be coming out of college and be unusually good at figuring out how physical things work.

We care more about what happens inside your head when someone puts an unfamiliar object in front of you.

What you will actually do

You will work with designers, inventors, manufacturers and the NH team to take ideas from “this should be possible” to “this actually works.”

That means understanding mechanisms. Pulling products apart. Building them back differently. Thinking through materials, movement, tolerances, assembly and manufacturing.

You will sketch.

You will draw.

You will prototype.

You will speak to factories.

You will stare at parts that almost work and figure out why they don't.

You will make things, test things, break things and make them again.

Sometimes there will be a transparent brief.

Sometimes there will be a sketch.

Sometimes there will be a product somebody bought in Japan, a mechanism we found in another industry, three components on a table and a conversation that starts with “What if...?”

That is the job.

What we are looking for

There is no magic number of years of experience.

Your education matters. Your experience matters. Your digital skills matter.

But none of those will decide this for us.

We are looking for three things above everything else:

Intelligence. Determination. Integrity.

By intelligence, we mean curiosity, judgement and the ability to figure things out.

By determination,



we mean that an unclear problem makes you curious rather than helpless.

By integrity, we mean we can trust what you say, what you make and what you do when nobody is checking.

You should be comfortable with physical products and three dimensional thinking. Digital and technical drawing should not frighten you. Neither should factories, prototypes, materials, manufacturing processes or problems without obvious answers.

If your experience comes from automotive, consumer products, appliances, medical devices, plastics, tooling, packaging, toys, mechanisms, manufacturing or somewhere we haven't thought of, we are interested.

We care about transferable brains .

A lot of our work is built around beauty, skincare, personal care, healthcare and packaging, but what we actually spend our time thinking about is broader -

How should a physical product behave?

We work across product architecture, mechanisms, applicators, dispensing and delivery systems, prototyping, development, manufacturing and intellectual property.

Our work eventually has to leave the screen.

It has to be held in someone's hand.

It has to work.

And somebody, somewhere, has to manufacture thousands or millions of it.

That last part will determine how you think about it all.

It could be a commercial product.

It could be your college project.

It could be something you made at home because something else annoyed you.

Tell us what you did.

And tell us what you learnt when it didn't work the first time.

That will probably tell us more about you than another paragraph of adjectives ever could.
