About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA's dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform, which supports our healthcare and life sciences solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with expertise in PHP and modern MVC frameworks, particularly CakePHP.

You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions, ensuring seamless integration with third-party services and APIs. This position offers an exciting chance to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that impact healthcare worldwide.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-8 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record in full software development lifecycle (SDLC). A bachelor's degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Solid expertise in PHP 8.x, object-oriented programming, and the LAMP stack is essential.

Experience working with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP or similar is mandatory. Additionally, candidates should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Bootstrap, and familiarity with database technologies including MySQL and NoSQL databases.

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS) is highly desirable. Prior exposure to the healthcare or life sciences industry is a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications utilizing PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks, with a preference for CakePHP.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance platform functionality.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to ensure reliable and efficient system operations.
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality and facilitate continuous integration.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile delivery processes to promote best practices and team collaboration.
- Collaborate closely with product managers,



QA teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve platform capabilities.
