PHP Developer – Product Development & Management

About the Role

Softaculous Ltd. is looking for an experienced and capable PHP Developer to join our product development team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in PHP development along with experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, or handling product-related responsibilities.

This role is suitable for someone who enjoys both technical development and understanding how products are planned, improved and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and enhance web-based applications and software products.
- Work extensively with PHP, Laravel and Core PHP.
- Understand product requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
- Work on new features, improvements, integrations and bug fixes.
- Coordinate with development and other teams for product-related requirements.
- Understand customer and business requirements and contribute to product improvements.
- Plan and prioritize development tasks based on product requirements.
- Test features, identify issues and ensure smooth releases.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Take ownership of assigned products, modules and development tasks.

Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in PHP and Core PHP
- Good working experience with Laravel
- Strong knowledge of jQuery
- Good knowledge of JavaScript and AJAX
- HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap
- Strong knowledge of MySQL
- Experience with REST APIs and API integration
- Git / version control
- Positive understanding of Linux and web hosting environments
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Product Management Experience The candidate should also have experience in one or more of the following:
- Product Management
- Product Ownership
- Product Development




- Requirement gathering and analysis
- Feature planning and prioritization
- Product documentation
- Working with development and support teams
- Product testing and release planning
- Understanding customer requirements and converting them into product features

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is technically strong, responsible and capable of taking ownership of development and product-related work.

The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, understand technical and business requirements, suggest improvements and contribute to the overall development of our products.

Experience: 3–6 years

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Education: B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science or a relevant qualification.
