Job Summary The Pharmacy Billing Executive is responsible for accurate billing of medicines, implants, consumables and pharmacy items for OP, IP, emergency and discharge patients. The role requires coordination with pharmacists, nursing, billing, insurance and accounts teams to ensure correct billing, stock movement and timely collection.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare pharmacy bills for OP, IP, Emergency and Discharge patients.
- Ensure all medicines, consumables, implants and surgical items issued to patients are correctly billed.
- Verify patient details, UHID/IP number, doctor name and department before generating bills.
- Process cash, card, UPI, insurance and credit billing as applicable.
- Ensure medicines returned by patients or wards are properly entered and adjusted in the billing system.
- Coordinate with wards and nursing staff for pending medicine and consumable entries before patient discharge.
- Check discharge patients for any unbilled pharmacy items before final bill closure.
- Maintain accurate billing entries in HMIS/pharmacy software.
- Generate invoices, receipts, credit notes and return bills.
- Verify MRP, selling price, discounts, GST and batch details before billing.
- Inform the Pharmacy In-Charge regarding price discrepancies, system errors or stock-related issues.
- Coordinate with the insurance/TPA team for pharmacy-related billing clarifications.
- Ensure approved discounts are applied only with proper authorization.
- Handle patient and attendant billing queries professionally.
- Support pharmacists during peak billing hours.
- Maintain daily cash and billing reconciliation.
- Submit daily billing collection reports to the concerned department.
- Ensure there is no billing leakage or missed billing.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.

Billing Controls The Pharmacy Billing Executive should specifically monitor:

- Discharge pharmacy clearance

- Stock vs billing discrepancies

Daily Responsibilities
- Check opening pending pharmacy bills.
- Complete all OP and IP pharmacy billing.
- Follow up on pending ward issues.
- Verify medicine returns.
- Complete discharge pharmacy clearance.
- Reconcile cash/card/UPI collections.
- Submit end-of-day billing report.
- Report pending or abnormal transactions to Pharmacy In-Charge.

Qualification
- B.Pharm / D.Pharm / Any Graduate with hospital pharmacy billing experience
- Basic knowledge of medicines and pharmacy terminology preferred
- Experience with HMIS/pharmacy billing software preferred

Experience 1–3 years in hospital pharmacy billing, medical store billing or healthcare billing preferred.

Important Responsibility The Pharmacy Billing Executive will be accountable for ensuring that every medicine, implant and consumable issued to a patient is properly billed or returned in the system, thereby preventing revenue leakage and stock mismatch.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
