Job Summary:

The PGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction for senior secondary students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will develop students’ conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical application skills while preparing them for board examinations and higher education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver effective Mathematics lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum and learning outcomes.
- Teach concepts such as Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Vectors, Three-Dimensional Geometry, Probability, Statistics, Relations and Functions, and other prescribed topics.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, study materials, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and revision resources.
- Use innovative, student-centred, and technology-enabled teaching methodologies.
- Develop students' conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Relate mathematical concepts to real-life applications and higher-level academic requirements.
- Conduct regular assessments, class tests, assignments, pre-board examinations, and revision sessions.
- Evaluate students' performance and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial and enrichment programmes according to individual student needs.
- Prepare students systematically for CBSE Class X Board examinations.
- Analyse examination and assessment results to monitor student progress and improve learning outcomes.




- Encourage participation in Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, projects, exhibitions, and other academic activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, academic performance, and student progress.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom workplace.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students regarding higher education and career opportunities in Mathematics-related fields.
- Communicate with parents regarding students' academic progress, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for academic planning, interdisciplinary activities, and school programmes.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional-development programmes, workshops, examinations, school events, and other institutional activities.
- Follow CBSE guidelines, school policies, assessment practices, and professional standards.

Required Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics or a relevant subject from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent recognized teacher-training qualification.
- CTET/TET requirements, where applicable, as per the school and prevailing recruitment rules.
- Prior teaching experience at the senior-secondary/PGT level is preferred.
