Role Description The PGT Computer Science educator will teach senior secondary classes, following the CBSE curriculum, and design lesson plans that build strong conceptual understanding and practical skills in computing. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering classroom instruction, supervising lab work, preparing assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing constructive feedback and academic support. The educator will integrate technology into teaching, guide learners on projects and coding activities, and help students prepare for board examinations and competitive pathways in computer-related fields.





Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate academic records, participating in school events, collaborating with colleagues on curriculum planning, and contributing to co-curricular and pastoral care initiatives. This is a full-time, in office role based at Convent of Jesus and Mary, Waverley, in Mussoorie.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Informatics, with the ability to teach CBSE senior secondary topics effectively.
- Proficiency in Programming and Software Development, including guiding students through coding practices and project-based learning.
- Excellent Communication skills for clear classroom instruction, student mentoring, and collaboration with colleagues and families.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Prior experience teaching Computer Science at secondary or senior secondary level, ideally in a CBSE or similar educational environment.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans, manage a computer lab safely, and foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Comfort with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and current trends in school-level computer education.
- Commitment to the holistic development of learners, alignment with the school’s values, and willingness to participate in residential school activities as required.
