Role Description The PGT Chemistry role is a full-time, on-site position based in Arrah. The educator will plan and deliver advanced Chemistry lessons aligned with the curriculum, using modern teaching methods and smart classroom tools. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting theory and practical sessions in the laboratory, assessing student performance, and providing academic guidance to help learners achieve robust conceptual understanding.

The role also involves maintaining laboratory safety standards, contributing to exam preparation, participating in co-curricular academic activities,



and collaborating with colleagues to enhance overall teaching quality. The teacher is expected to support the school’s focus on holistic education, encourage scientific curiosity, and foster a disciplined, values-based learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and ability to teach advanced concepts at senior secondary level.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving, concept explanation, and evaluating student understanding.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear instructional delivery and the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Sound Laboratory Skills, with experience in conducting and supervising Chemistry practicals safely and accurately.
- Experience or interest in Research and Development (R&D;), especially in innovative teaching practices and curriculum enrichment.
- Master’s degree in Chemistry (or equivalent) with B.Ed. or relevant teaching qualification preferred.
- Prior experience teaching Chemistry at senior secondary level in a school or similar academic setting.
- Comfort using smart classroom technology and digital tools for lesson delivery and assessment.
- Ability to mentor students for board examinations and competitive entrance tests is an advantage.
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, non-discriminatory teaching practices.
