Role Overview

We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Biology Teacher to teach Biology to secondary and senior secondary students. The ideal candidate will build strong conceptual understanding through clear explanation, structured lab and diagram-based work, and rigorous exam preparation, while nurturing genuine curiosity about the living world.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Teaching & Curriculum Delivery

- Plan and deliver structured, well-paced Biology lessons as per the CBSE curriculum for secondary and senior secondary grades
- Build strong conceptual understanding across Botany, Zoology, and Human Physiology through transparent explanation and diagram-based teaching
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching aids aligned with syllabus timelines and learning outcomes

Practical & Experiential Learning

- Plan and conduct laboratory experiments, dissections, and specimen/slide-based observations, ensuring safe handling of biological material and equipment
- Maintain practical file records and guide students in writing accurate lab reports, diagrams, and observations
- Use models, charts, digital tools, and real-life applications to simplify complex biological concepts

Assessment & Academic Reporting

- Design and evaluate class tests, assignments,



and examinations in line with CBSE assessment and board exam patterns
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress, and prepare periodic academic reports
- Communicate student progress and areas of improvement clearly with parents during PTMs and as needed

Co-Curricular & Collaboration

- Organise and support science-related events such as science exhibitions, quizzes, and project competitions
- Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and school leadership to integrate cross-curricular learning
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events, and remain open to feedback and professional development

Eligibility & Qualifications

- B.Sc / M.Sc in Biology / Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology, or related) with a B.Ed
- 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary/senior secondary level, preferably in a CBSE school — mandatory
- Strong command over biological concepts, diagrams, and laboratory practicals
- Sound understanding of the CBSE curriculum and board examination pattern for secondary and senior secondary grades

Desired Skills & Personal Attributes

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage secondary and senior secondary students
- Curious, patient, and resourceful, with a genuine interest in making biology engaging and application-focused
- Comfortable conducting lab experiments and handling biological specimens and equipment safely
- Organised and self-driven, comfortable with digital tools and basic classroom technology
- Proficient using Microsoft/Google workspace, AI, School ERP syatem

Work Schedule & Details

Days: Monday to Saturday

Location: Tapovan Vidya Vihar, Plot no. 363, nr. Rajwadu Hotel, opp. Lavanya Sanskrutik Hall, Lavanya Society, Vasna, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380051

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
