Role Description The Person In Charge role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The individual will oversee daily operations of the assigned program or residential unit, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and well-managed environment in line with Udayan Care’s policies and child protection standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and monitoring the delivery of education, healthcare, counseling, and life skills support to beneficiaries.

Charge will maintain documentation and reports, liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, and support implementation of program activities, events, and trainings. The role also involves handling basic administrative and logistical tasks, addressing concerns from children, youth, and families, and contributing to continuous improvement of services and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong program management and coordination skills, including the ability to oversee daily operations, manage schedules, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in child protection, social work, or community development, with a transparent understanding of safeguarding, ethical practice, and trauma-informed care.
- People management and leadership abilities, including staff supervision, team motivation, conflict resolution, and collaborative decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, youth, families, staff, partners, and government or institutional stakeholders.
- Sound administrative and documentation skills, including report writing, record-keeping, basic data management, and familiarity with MS Office or similar tools.
- Problem-solving and crisis-handling capabilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to respond calmly and responsibly in challenging situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Humanities, or a related field; a master’s degree
