Role Description This is a remote contract role for a Perfumer (R&D; – Recent Scent Development) at theGfarm. The Perfumer will design and develop new fragrance formulations inspired by natural ingredients, ensuring alignment with brand vision and product requirements. Daily activities include researching raw materials, experimenting with scent combinations, maintaining detailed formulation records, and evaluating stability and performance of fragrances.

The role involves collaborating with R&D;, quality, and product teams to refine concepts based on feedback, regulatory considerations, and market trends. The Perfumer will also support sensory evaluation panels and contribute to documentation required for product launches.

Qualifications





- Strong Research and Development (R&D;) skills, including formulation, experimentation, and documentation in fragrance or personal care products.
- Experience with Personal Care products, including understanding of cosmetic ingredients, safety standards, and sensory properties.
- Customer Service and Sales skills to understand customer preferences, support product positioning, and communicate scent concepts effectively.
- Quality Control skills to ensure consistency, stability, and compliance of fragrance formulations with internal and external standards.
- Proven experience as a perfumer, fragrance chemist, or related role in cosmetics, fine fragrances, or consumer products.
- Strong olfactory sensitivity and ability to describe, compare, and refine scents with precision.
- Knowledge of fragrance regulations, IFRA guidelines, and basic cosmetic compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant education in chemistry, cosmetic science, perfumery, or a related field is preferred.
