VS Hospital req Pathologist Consultant

Timings : 9am to 5.30 pm

1. Diagnostic Evaluation

- Review and interpret surgical pathology specimens, cytology specimens, and autopsy material.
- Diagnose diseases based on histopathological, cytological, and molecular findings.
- Correlate laboratory findings with clinical data for accurate reporting.

2. Laboratory Oversight

- Supervise daily operations of histopathology, cytology, immunohistochemistry, and special stains.
- Ensure proper specimen handling, processing, and staining.
- Monitor and evaluate quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) procedures.

3. Reporting

- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate pathology reports.
- Communicate significant or critical findings directly to treating clinicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and tumor boards.

4. Compliance & Safety

- Ensure laboratory practices comply with regulatory, ethical, and safety standards (e.g., NABL, CAP, ISO).
- Maintain documentation of quality metrics and corrective action plans.
- Follow biosafety protocols and maintain a safe working workplace.
