About Mami Bombay

Mami Bombay is a fast-growing dessert brand specialising in Italian tiramisu. As we expand our production and retail operations, we are looking for a Pastry Chef Assistant to join our team.

The Role

You will work closely with our Pastry Chef and production team, with your main responsibility being the preparation and assembly of Mami's tiramisu.

You will also support the team with the day-to-day tasks needed to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble tiramisu according to Mami's recipes and standards.
- Prepare components such as ganaches, spreads and creams.
- Assist with cutting and portioning ingredients and components.
- Ensure consistency in portion size, presentation and quality.
- Help with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch.
- Support the Pastry Chef and production team during busy periods.
- Keep the production area clean and organised.
- Assist with stock organisation and report when ingredients or supplies are running low.
- Follow Mami's hygiene, food-safety and production standards.
- Help minimise waste and use ingredients efficiently.




- Support the team with other operational tasks when required.

Requirements
- Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, restaurant or food production environment is preferred.
- Dessert or pastry experience is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable with hands-on, repetitive production work.
- Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Good team player with a proactive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and take on more responsibility.

Italian dessert experience is not required.
