About the Project
We are developing an AI Lead Capture & Follow-Up System for small and medium-sized businesses.
The system will help businesses automatically manage enquiries coming from:
- Website
- WhatsApp
- Email
The system will capture and qualify leads using AI, store them in Google Sheets, notify the sales team, and automate follow-ups.
We are looking for a part time developer who can build the initial MVP and help us improve the system over time.
What You Will Build The initial system should include:
- Website AI Chat
- Answer frequently asked questions
- Collect customer name, phone number and enquiry
- Qualify potential customers
- Send captured information to the lead database
2. WhatsApp AI Automation
- Receive customer enquiries
- Respond automatically using AI
- Ask qualifying questions
- Capture customer information
- Trigger follow-up messages
3. Google Sheets Lead Management
Each lead should be recorded with fields such as:
- Date/time
- Customer name
- Phone number
- Email
- Requirement
- Lead source
- Lead status
- Hot/Warm/Cold
- Last contact
- Follow-up date
- Salesperson
- Notes
4. Email Notifications
When a new or high-quality lead arrives:
- Notify the salesperson
- Include customer details
- Include enquiry/requirement
- Include lead priority
5. Automated Follow-Up The system should be capable of sending follow-up messages when a customer does not respond.
- Appointment Booking
Basic integration with Google Calendar for appointment scheduling.
Required Skills
Strong practical knowledge of
- n8n
- Webhooks
- REST APIs
- WhatsApp Business API / WhatsApp Cloud API
- Google Sheets API
- Google Workspace
- OpenAI or other LLM APIs
- Website chat integration
- JSON
- Basic JavaScript
- API authentication
- Automation workflows
Experience with CRM integrations is an advantage but not required for the initial project.
Important
This is intended to become a reusable commercial automation system.
The developer must build the system in a way that allows us to configure it for different business clients later.
We do not want a system that works for only one company.
Security & Ownership
All primary accounts, API accounts, domains, Google Workspace accounts, WhatsApp accounts and cloud infrastructure will be created and owned by the company.
The developer will receive access only when required for development.
Real customer data will not be provided during development. Dummy/test data must be used.
All workflows, configurations, documentation, prompts, code and project-related intellectual property developed under this engagement will belong to the company according to the project agreement.
Confidentiality and data-security requirements will apply.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Can work independently
- Understands automation rather than only website development
- Can troubleshoot APIs and webhooks
- Has actually built n8n workflows
- Can explain technical concepts in simple language
- Is interested in continuing as a part-time technical partner if the project grows
