Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Newspaper Paginator to handle the design, pagination and production of newspaper pages. The candidate will be responsible for converting editorial content, photographs, advertisements and other material into well-structured, attractive and print-ready newspaper pages while maintaining the publication’s design standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and paginate daily newspaper pages according to the publication’s layout and editorial guidelines.
- Place and format news stories, headlines, photographs, captions, advertisements and other editorial elements.
- Coordinate with the Editorial, Reporting, Photo and Advertising teams for page requirements and corrections.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, typography, headlines and visual hierarchy.
- Check pages carefully for spelling, formatting, alignment and other production errors before final output.
- Make corrections and last-minute changes accurately and within deadlines.
- Prepare final pages/files according to the newspaper’s printing and production requirements.
- Maintain consistency in page design, fonts, styles, columns and other visual elements.
- Handle breaking-news and late-page changes efficiently.
- Ensure that all pages are completed and delivered within the daily production schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications




- Previous experience in newspaper pagination/page designing will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of QuarkXPress, Adobe InDesign or similar newspaper-design software.
- Knowledge of newspaper layout, column structure, headline placement and typography.
- Basic knowledge of Hindi Unicode/Mangal typing will be an advantage.
- Ability to work with editorial content, photographs and advertisements.
- Good understanding of digital files, image formats and print-ready documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict newspaper deadlines.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in a Hindi newspaper, regional newspaper, news publication or media house will be preferred.
