Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain the sterile field in the operating room, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.

- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures with precision and efficiency.

- Perform counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure patient safety.

- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgeon and the procedure.

- Provide emergency support in the operating room, recognizing and addressing urgent situations swiftly.

- Ensure accurate clinical documentation, maintaining records of the surgical procedures and patient care.

- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the surgical team promptly.

- Manage the care and preparation of specimens taken for laboratory analysis.

- Support the maintenance of equipment, ensuring all instruments are sterile and in positive working condition.
