– OPEX Executive (FTR)

Position: OPEX Executive – FTR (Full Time Resource)

Department: Operational Excellence

Location: Por GIDC, Vadodara, Gujarat

Experience: Minimum 1 Year in OPEX / Operational Excellence

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Educational Qualification:

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.

Certifications:

Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis or Continuous Improvement certifications preferred.

Job Purpose:

To support Operational Excellence initiatives using a PDCA-based approach to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and reduce process losses across manufacturing operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, waste, and improvement opportunities through shop-floor observation and data analysis.
- Analyse process issues, identify root causes, and prepare action plans with defined targets and timelines.
- Support implementation of Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments for improvement activities.
- Collect OEE data, monitor and analyse OEE performance, identify losses, and take actions to improve OEE.
- Monitor productivity, rejection, rework, downtime, cycle time, and process efficiency.
- Measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements against defined targets.
- Support Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and other basic problem-solving tools.
- Participate in CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action)



activities and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct basic process audits and identify deviations from SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Support corrective actions and standardisation of successful improvements to sustain results.
- Prepare basic MIS reports and maintain records of improvement activities.
- Support relevant QMS and EHS requirements related to operational processes.

Technical Skills:

- OPEX / Operational Excellence
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen & 5S
- PDCA & Root Cause Analysis
- CAPA
- OEE monitoring and analysis
- Basic process mapping and waste identification
- MS Excel and MIS reporting
- Basic understanding of SOPs and process audits

Preferred:

- 1+ year experience in Manufacturing / OPEX / Production / Industrial Engineering / Continuous Improvement.
- Exposure to forging / engineering / metal manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work on the shop floor.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
