First-mile lead: vendors, sourcing, production, and everything it takes for a Khet bottle to exist.
Every Khet bottle takes a dozen vendors landing in the right place, at the right spec, in the same week. When it works, nobody notices. When it doesn't, a launch slips or a bestseller goes out of stock. We're hiring the person who makes sure it works, every single run.
ABOUT KHET
Khet builds original perfumes, made from scratch, that smell like nothing else on the shelf. People don’t just buy them, they get obsessed, come back for more and tell their friends, which is why Khet has become the fragrance brand everyone is talking about. The product is solid. What we need now is someone who can turn all the work behind it into reality on the ground, so every bottle we create actually reaches the customers waiting for it.
NOT JUST A “TALK TO VENDORS” JOB
Anyone can forward a purchase order. We need someone who gets us the best product, at the lowest sensible price, in the right quantity for where Khet is right now - someone who knows which vendor can actually deliver at our volume, and which idea will blow the budget before anyone asks.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
- No surprises. You see the supply chain end to end and flag delays, shortages or price hikes before they reach us.
- Vendors who go the extra mile. You build relationships, negotiate, and onboard recent vendors - vendor management as a function, not a phone list.
- Sourcing with a spec sheet. Right region, right spec, right price, and a vendor who delivers their best because of how you work with them.
- The system behind the run. You sequence caps, bottles, assembly and filling so they run in parallel, and every production run goes smoother than the last.
- Inventory that follows the numbers. Work with Growth on the sales forecast, turn it into production plans and reorder points, and keep stock right on our WMS.
- A reality check for new products. When NPD brings a new idea, you tell us what's makeable, the cost, the MOQ, and the real timeline.
- All the way to the customer. You keep an eye on our Rohini warehouse, dispatch and delivery, so what we make actually reaches people.
You'll work directly with Arhum, our co-founder who runs operations. As Khet grows, this role grows with it.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Hit the ground running: 1+ year in operations, procurement or vendor management. Fragrance or beauty is ideal; serious internships count.
- A natural salesperson: people pick up your calls, and you negotiate hard without burning a bridge.
- A follow-up machine: you pick up the phone and actually get things done.
- At home on a factory floor: comfortable visiting vendors and checking samples in person.
- Systems-minded: know your way around OMS and WMS tools (Unicommerce a plus), sharp with a spreadsheet.
- A clear communicator in writing and on calls, with vendors and with our team.
- High ownership: you treat every production run like your own money is on the line.
WHERE YOU MIGHT BE COMING FROM
Perfume experience is the dream, but great first-mile operators come from many places: fragrance and beauty D2C, candles and home fragrance, food and FMCG, liquor and beverage, packaging and sourcing agencies, or pharma packaging. If you've ever chased a label printer at 9pm so a launch could go out on time, you're who we mean.
A NOTE ON DEGREES A degree from a robust college won't hurt you, but it won't get you the job either. We care about what you've already run, fixed and delivered.
THE FINE PRINT
Pay: ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience.
Where: Our warehouse is in Rohini and our primary office is in Gurgaon. The role is hybrid between the two, with vendor visits along the way. Saturdays are work from home, but we may need you in person if something's up.
