Position: - Operation Theater (OT) Technician

Department: - Operation Theater / Surgical Services

Reports To: - OT In-Charge / Nursing Superintendent / Surgeon

Job Summary:-

The Operation Theater Technician is responsible for assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists during surgical procedures. The OT Technician ensures that operation theaters, instruments, and surgical equipment are properly prepared, sterilized, and maintained for safe and effective surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Prepare and maintain the operation theater before and after surgeries
- Arrange surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during operations
- Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of OT instruments and equipment
- Handle OT tables, lights, suction machines, cautery machines, and monitors
- Maintain inventory of surgical instruments and consumables
- Shift patients safely to and from the operation theater
- Dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital protocols




- Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in OT areas
- Check functionality of OT equipment before procedures
- Assist in emergency and trauma surgeries whenever required
- Maintain OT records and documentation

Required Qualification:-

- Diploma / Degree in Operation Theater Technology (OTT)
- Certification in OT Technician course preferred

Experience:-

- Fresher or experienced candidates can apply
- Experience in multispecialty hospital preferred

Skills Required:-

- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization procedures
- Understanding of infection control practices
- Ability to work in emergency situations
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of OT equipment handling

Working Conditions:-

- Rotational shifts and emergency duties
- Ability to stand for long hours during surgeries

Pay: ₹10,083.35 - ₹20,655.35 per month
