Role Description The Information Technology Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This full-time role includes managing networks and systems, providing technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues, and overseeing data backup and security processes.

The officer will coordinate with vendors for IT equipment and services, monitor system performance, and implement basic cybersecurity practices and updates.



Documentation of IT procedures, asset tracking, and user training on tools and best practices are also key responsibilities. This is a hybrid role based in Guwahati, with regular on-site presence and some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Information Technology and System Administration skills, including configuring and maintaining servers, user accounts, and software environments.
- Candidates should possess Network Administration skills, such as managing routers, switches, Wi‑Fi, basic firewall settings, and network performance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support and Troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users.
- Relevant academic background in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Knowledge of data backup, IT security best practices, and basic cybersecurity measures; familiarity with office productivity tools and cloud-based services.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly, work collaboratively with non-technical teams, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in an IT support or system/network administration role, preferably in a small to mid-sized organization, is beneficial.
