At 7 dot 2 IT Consulting, we specialize in delivering end-to-end ERP implementation and support. We are looking for an experienced ERP Consultant to join our Enterprise Applications team and take ownership of solution design, module delivery, client consulting, and quality assurance across ERP engagements.

Job Summary:

The ERP Consultant independently leads assigned ERP modules from requirement discovery through solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The role is expected to translate business requirements into scalable ERP solutions, guide clients on best practices, and ensure quality delivery across functional and technical workstreams.

The Consultant also supports pre-sales activities, reviews solution and technical deliverables, mentors junior consultants, and works closely with project managers and development teams to improve solution performance, maintainability, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

- ERP Solution Design and Implementation· Lead requirement discovery and process-mapping workshops with client stakeholders.

· Architect assigned ERP modules and end-to-end process flows based on business requirements and standard product capabilities.

· Prepare and validate solution designs, configuration approaches, and functional specifications.

· Own module configuration, data migration validation, system testing, UAT support, and deployment readiness.

· Identify gaps, recommend practical solutions, and minimise unnecessary customisation wherever possible.

- Client Consulting and Issue Resolution· Act as a functional consultant and trusted point of contact for assigned modules and business processes.

· Analyse complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate effective resolution with functional and technical teams.

· Review enhancement requests and advise clients on feasibility, impact, and recommended approach.

· Support AMC engagements, system health checks, and continuous improvement of live ERP environments.

- Pre-Sales and Solution Demonstrations· Design and prepare demo scenarios, sample data, and business use cases for prospective clients.

· Lead or co-lead product demonstrations and solution presentations for qualified opportunities.

· Contribute to solution scoping, effort estimation, assumptions, and proposal inputs.





· Translate prospect requirements into a practical demonstration and high-level solution approach.

- Technical Governance, Quality and Performance· Review solution design and technical approach for custom developments and integrations.

· Participate in code reviews with developers to check quality, maintainability, security, and alignment with the agreed solution.

· Support performance tuning and troubleshooting of ERP workflows, reports, integrations, and custom modules.

· Ensure configuration and development follow project standards, naming conventions, documentation, and change-control practices.

- Documentation, Training and Team Mentoring· Prepare and maintain solution designs, functional specifications, process flows, configuration guides, and user documentation.

· Conduct client training, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions independently.

· Mentor junior and associate consultants on configuration, documentation, testing, demos, and client handling.

· Review junior team deliverables and provide feedback to improve quality and consulting capability.

- Project Ownership and Delivery· Own assigned modules/workstreams and track scope, effort, timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables.

· Work with the project manager to provide realistic estimates, status updates, and early escalation of delivery risks.

· Coordinate across functional consultants, developers, client users, and third parties to ensure smooth delivery.

· Support go-live planning, cutover, hypercare, and transition to support/AMC teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Functional Skills· Solid understanding of ERP systems and end-to-end enterprise business processes.

· Good working knowledge of core functions such as Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Manufacturing.

· Ability to independently map business requirements to ERP functionality and design practical solutions.





· Experience in configuration, master data, workflows, reporting, testing, migration, and user adoption.

Technical Skills· Strong working knowledge of Odoo or a comparable ERP platform.

· Working understanding of integrations, APIs, data structures, SQL/PostgreSQL, and ERP technical architecture.

· Ability to review customisation approaches and participate effectively in technical and code-review discussions.

· Experience in diagnosing performance issues and working with developers on performance tuning.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis; familiarity with reporting tools is desirable.

Consulting and Leadership Skills· Strong business analysis, solution-design, and problem-solving capability.

· Ability to lead client workshops, demonstrations, training sessions, and solution discussions.

· Strong documentation skills for solution designs, functional specifications, and process documentation.

· Ability to mentor junior consultants and review their work for quality and completeness.

· Commercial awareness and ability to support scoping, estimation, and pre-sales activities.

Soft Skills· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across project teams.

· Client-focused and ownership-driven approach with good interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities, mentor others, and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Commerce, or Business Administration.

· MBA is an advantage but not mandatory.

· 4-6 years of relevant experience in ERP implementation, consulting, support, or business systems, with demonstrated ownership of modules/workstreams.

· Odoo certification or equivalent ERP certification is preferred.
