Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Varanasi at Changing Minds Counseling, Psychotherapy & Child Development Centre.

The Occupational

Therapist will assess clients’ functional abilities, sensory processing, and developmental needs, and design individualized intervention plans to improve daily living, academic, and social skills. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting standardized and informal assessments, delivering one-on-one and group therapy sessions, and collaborating with psychologists, counselors, and families to support integrated care. The role involves working closely with children and adolescents,



providing parent education, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to case discussions and multidisciplinary treatment planning.

The Occupational

Therapist will also participate in workshops or awareness programs and help develop structured therapy materials and resources aligned with the centre’s therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Occupational Therapy , including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Relevant knowledge of Medicine as it relates to developmental, neurological, and mental health conditions impacting functional performance.
- Experience in Rehabilitation , focusing on functional independence, sensory integration, motor skills, and adaptive skill development.
- Excellent Communication skills to interact effectively with children, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members, and to explain therapeutic goals clearly.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics , particularly child development, school-based challenges, and family-centered care.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; appropriate registration or licensing as required.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary mental health setting and maintain detailed clinical records.
- Comfort in conducting therapy in an on-site clinical environment and engaging in parent counseling or training as needed.
- Previous experience in mental health, child development centres, or school-based therapy is an advantage.
