Job Summary: The Nursing Supervisor at our Assisted Living Home is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. This position involves providing guidance, support, and coordination to the nursing team, promoting a positive and nurturing environment, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The Nursing

Supervisor reports to the Director of Nursing and plays a vital role in maintaining the well-being and comfort of our residents.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Staff Management:Supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Provide guidance and support to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and quality care standards.

Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and professional development.

Resident Care Oversight:Monitor and evaluate resident care plans to ensure individualized and holistic care.

Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and needs, adjusting care plans as necessary.

Address any concerns related to residents' health, safety, or well-being promptly and appropriately.

Collaborative Approach:Coordinate with other departments, such as Activities, Dietary Services, and Maintenance, to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care.

Communicate effectively with medical professionals, families, and residents to ensure clear and accurate information exchange.

Quality Assurance:Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care services.

Conduct regular audits of documentation, medication administration, and other nursing procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

Staff Development:Identify training needs and opportunities for professional growth among nursing staff.





Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Emergency Preparedness:Act as a point of contact during emergencies and effectively manage crisis situations.

Ensure staff is trained in emergency protocols and procedures.

Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated on relevant regulations and licensing requirements in the assisted living industry.

Ensure that all nursing practices align with state and federal regulations and standards.

Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident care, incidents, and staff performance.

Prepare regular reports for management regarding nursing operations and resident health trends.

Qualifications:

- Min. 2yrs experience in hospital feild
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- Proven experience in a nursing leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in assisted living.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
