Role Description The NPD Lead / Head of New Product Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for driving the end-to-end innovation and development of new products in the green robotics and solar O&M; space. This role oversees the entire product lifecycle, from concept and market validation through design, prototyping, testing, and commercialization, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company strategy. Daily responsibilities include leading cross-functional R&D; teams, conducting market and technology assessments, defining product roadmaps, and coordinating with engineering, operations, and sales to bring products to market.

The role involves setting performance metrics, managing timelines and budgets,



and implementing data-driven decision-making to prioritize features and improvements. The NPD Lead / Head of New Product Development will also engage with customers and partners to gather feedback, refine offerings, and support sales and business development with product expertise and technical insights.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate product performance, and make evidence-based decisions.
- Candidates should possess market research skills to assess customer needs, competition, and industry trends in clean energy and robotics.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to lead product ideation, prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement.
- Candidates should possess team management skills to guide cross-functional teams, delegate responsibilities, and foster collaboration.
- Candidates should possess sales-related skills to support product positioning, customer presentations, and go-to-market activities.
- Experience in robotics, IoT, or clean energy technologies, particularly in solar O&M;, is highly beneficial.
- Proven track record in new product development, product management, or innovation leadership roles.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field; advanced qualifications in business or product management are an advantage.
