We are hiring NPD – Exterior Trims Design Engineers for our automotive engineering team in Chennai.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5/V6, Automotive Exterior Parts Design, and New Product Development (NPD) projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5/V6.
- Should have completed at least one New Product Development (NPD) project.
- Design and development experience in automotive exterior parts.
- Good knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes.
- Robust understanding of GD&T;.
- Hands-on experience in creating and reviewing 2D/3D engineering drawings.
- Ability to independently handle parts and exterior/interior commodities based on project requirements.
- Analyze requirements and create components as per design rules and engineering requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and support product development activities.




- Ensure designs meet required quality, manufacturing and engineering standards.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
- Flexible to work across different engineering streams based on dynamic project requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

- Excellent Catia V5/V6 Skills
- Should have completed at least 1 New Product Development project
- Hands on experience in design and development of Exterior parts.
- Good Knowledge on product and manufacturing process
- Knowledge of GD&T; & hands on experience on 2D/3D Drawings creation required.
- Ability to work /handle parts & interior commodity Independently.
- Able to interact, analyze and create parts as per design Rules & requirements.
- Good Team Player and flexible to work in any streams of work as per dynamic requirement that may change from time to time
