North India Representative

This role is based the Panipat region and is responsible for marketing testing and certification services to the textile industry across Northern India. The successful candidate will provide technical support to both new and existing clients and offer field support to regional and country managers within the textile and apparel sectors.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day assigned work, conducting client visits, independently generating new business, conducting on-site audits, following up with customers, and maintaining strong customer relationships in coordination with the UK office and the wider Indian team.

- Work in an ethical and professional manner, adhering to the company's policies, principles, and code of conduct.
- Conduct factory audits in accordance with company guidelines while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Independently generate new business opportunities and acquire new clients in line with company guidelines and objectives.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with existing clients, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Provide daily updates and reports to the Regional Manager on assigned activities and business progress.
- Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, and correspondence, delivering timely and productive customer service.
- Establish, maintain,



and safeguard confidential files and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Preferred candidate profile The ideal candidate will be a graduate, preferably with an M.Tech., B.Tech. or Diploma in Textiles. They should have strong written and spoken English skills, as well as good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, email and internet use.

- Experience of audits within a textile manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in technical sales and services within the textile industry will be preferred.
- Candidates currently working in a reputed third-party testing laboratory at manager level within a sales and marketing division will be preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 will be preferred.
- SA8000 Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
- The candidate should have a sound understanding of the textile industry supply chain, from fibre through to garment processing.
- They should be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Training will be provided at Shirley Technologies in the UK, depending on business requirements. The candidate must hold all documentation necessary to obtain a visa for international travel.
