Hiring: Mechanical Engineer – New Product Development (NPD)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer – NPD to join our product development team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, modification, testing, validation, and improvement of electric 2-wheeler mechanical components and systems.

The role involves close coordination with Design, NPD, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Suppliers to ensure components are production-ready and meet vehicle requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate with Design and NPD teams for implementation of design changes.
- Support development and modification of chassis, body panels, brackets, mounts, swing arms, battery enclosures, seating structures, and other mechanical components.
- Review and work with 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers for prototype development and component validation.
- Support prototype assembly, vehicle build, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Identify assembly and testing issues and coordinate corrective actions with the design team.
- Work with Production and Quality teams to resolve design and assembly-related issues.
- Maintain proper records of design changes, test results, validation activities,



and development documentation.

Required Skills
- Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of automotive/2-wheeler components and systems.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T;, stack-up tolerance, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand and work with 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, machining, welding, plastics, and fasteners will be an advantage.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in EV, automotive, or 2-wheeler product development.
- Exposure to prototype development and productionisation.
- Understanding of BOM management and engineering change processes.

Qualification & Experience B.Tech/B.E. – Mechanical Engineering: 1–2 years relevant experience

Diploma – Mechanical Engineering: 4–5 years relevant experience
