Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and dedicated Senior Resident General Surgery to join our Neuro Surgery Department. The candidate will assist in the management of surgical patients, support neurosurgical procedures, and work closely with consultants and the multidisciplinary clinical team to ensure quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and manage pre-operative and post-operative patients under the guidance of senior consultants.
- Assist consultants in neurosurgical procedures and surgeries.
- Conduct patient rounds and monitor clinical progress.
- Perform necessary surgical procedures and interventions within the scope of qualification.
- Monitor patients in wards, ICU and emergency areas as required.
- Ensure timely documentation of patient history, examination, treatment plans and progress notes.
- Coordinate with nursing, critical care, diagnostics and other clinical departments.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide immediate clinical support.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols,



infection control practices and patient safety standards.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatment plans, procedures and post-operative care as appropriate.
- Participate in academic activities, case discussions and clinical audits.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Eligibility

- MS/DNB – General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- 1–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital/neurosurgical setup.
- Valid medical registration is mandatory.
- Candidates with exposure to Neuro Surgery will be preferred.
