nAbout the Role

nWe are looking for a QA Engineer with strong manual testing experience and good networking fundamentals . The ideal candidate should understand the OSI and TCP/IP models and have hands-on experience testing network-based applications, routers, switches, VLANs, and L2/L3 networking features.

nYou will work closely with Development, Product, and Network Engineering teams to validate features, analyze network behavior, identify defects, and ensure product quality within an Agile workplace .

nKey Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements and create test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for network-based applications and features.
n
- Perform manual functional, regression, integration, sanity, and system testing .
n
- Test network functionality involving routers, switches, VLANs, L2 switching, and L3 routing .
n
- Apply OSI and TCP/IP model knowledge to troubleshoot and isolate issues across network layers.
n
- Validate VLAN segmentation, L2 switching, L3 routing, and network traffic behavior .
n
- Test and validate IPv4/IPv6 functionality and network connectivity.
n
- Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot issues using tools such as Ping, Traceroute, Wireshark/TCPDump , where applicable.
n
- Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, Zoho, or equivalent defect-tracking tools .
n
- Provide clear defect details including reproduction steps, severity, impact, and supporting evidence .
n
- Participate in Agile ceremonies , including sprint planning, daily stand-ups,



sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
n
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
n
- Maintain test documentation, traceability matrices, test execution reports, and defect reports .
n
- Communicate testing progress, defect status, quality risks, and release readiness to stakeholders.
n

nRequired Skills

n
- 3+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing .
n
- Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing .
n
- Good understanding of Functional, Regression, Integration, Sanity, and System Testing .
n
- Strong knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP networking models .
n
- Hands-on knowledge of:

- Routers & Switches
n
- VLAN / VLAN Segmentation
n
- L2 Switching
n
- L3 Routing
n
- IPv4 & IPv6
n
- TCP/IP
n
- Network Traffic Analysis / Behavior Validation
n
- Experience with Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Execution .

- Experience with Jira, Zoho, or similar defect-tracking tools .
n
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
n
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment .

nGood to Have

- Basic Python scripting for test automation or network validation.
n
- Exposure to Selenium or other automation frameworks.
n
- Experience with firewall rule validation and security policy testing .
n
- Knowledge of NAT, DHCP, DNS, ACLs, VPN, or other networking concepts .

- Exposure to Wireshark, TCPDump, Ping, Traceroute , or similar network troubleshooting tools.
n
- Willingness to upskill in network automation and Python-based testing .
