About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior L3 Network Operations Engineer specializing in Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, and Zscaler to join our dynamic NOC team. This role involves acting as an escalation point for complex network incidents, providing expert-level troubleshooting, and supporting the stability and performance of our enterprise network infrastructure. The successful candidate will work closely with L2 engineers, guiding them through intricate problem resolutions, and will play a pivotal role in maintaining service excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of enterprise networking, extensive hands-on experience with Zscaler solutions, and a proven track record of managing high-severity incidents. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging environment, leveraging advanced technical skills to ensure optimal network performance and security. The role is primarily during EMEA business hours with occasional participation in weekend or overnight activities to support critical incidents or planned maintenance windows.

Qualifications To be considered for this role,



candidates should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in network operations, with a strong background in enterprise routing and switching, SD-WAN, and cloud security solutions such as Zscaler. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Zscaler ZIA, or ZPA are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues, managing large-scale incidents, and working within ITIL-aligned support environments.

Excellent communication, documentation, and team mentoring skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Serve as the escalation point for complex network, SD-WAN, and Zscaler incidents, providing expert-level support and resolution.
- Identify incident sources, whether from endpoints, network devices, firewalls, ISP, or cloud security components.
- Support and mentor L2 engineers during advanced troubleshooting activities, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Lead technical investigations during major incidents, especially P1 and P2 cases, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Provide L3 support for enterprise network infrastructure, including SD-WAN and Zscaler services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage incident lifecycle, including service requests and change management, adhering to SLAs.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and overall service health, proactively identifying potential issues.




- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, service providers, and clients to facilitate incident resolution and service improvement initiatives.
- Support change validation, maintenance activities, and post-change troubleshooting to minimize service disruption.
- Lead or contribute to root cause analysis activities, documenting findings and implementing preventive measures.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and KB articles to streamline incident management processes.
