We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Network Engineer to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure our network infrastructure across the organisation.

Job Summary The Network Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of network infrastructure, firewall administration, connectivity, troubleshooting, network security, and IT infrastructure support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Sophos Firewall, LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, routing and switching , along with a CCNA certification .

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain the organisation's LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network infrastructure.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Sophos Firewall and related security policies.
- Manage firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, web filtering, application control, and network security configurations.
- Monitor network performance, availability, bandwidth, and connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network issues involving LAN, WAN, Internet, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and routing.
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, access points, and other network devices.
- Handle user connectivity issues and provide timely technical support.
- Perform network installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.




- Monitor network security and identify potential vulnerabilities or unauthorised access.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, IP address records, and infrastructure diagrams.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external vendors for connectivity and technical issues.
- Support IT infrastructure across corporate and branch/centre locations.
- Participate in network expansion, infrastructure improvement, and implementation projects.
- Ensure regular backup and documentation of network and firewall configurations.
- Follow IT security policies, access-control procedures, and organisational standards.
- Maintain proper records of incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Network Engineering / Network Administration.
- Hands-on experience managing enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong practical experience with Sophos Firewall .
- CCNA certification is mandatory.

Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP and VPN .
- Positive understanding of routing and switching concepts.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, access points, and network devices.
- Experience with firewall configuration, security policies, NAT, VPN, and web/application filtering.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.




- Knowledge of network monitoring and performance management.
- Understanding of network security and basic cybersecurity principles.
- Good knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Experience with Wi-Fi/network connectivity troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows-based network environments is an advantage.

Good to Have
- Experience working with Sophos Central / Sophos Firewall .
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and endpoint security solutions.
- Experience managing networks across multiple branches or locations.
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure networking is an advantage.
- Experience in healthcare or multi-location organisations will be an added advantage.
- Additional networking certifications such as CCNP will be a plus.
