About the Role

We are looking for a strong Murex DevOps Engineer with 5–8 years of experience and solid capital markets domain knowledge. You will own the design, automation, and operation of CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and infrastructure automation for the Murex MX.3 platform — ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of Murex releases across a complex capital markets technology estate. Strong capital markets domain knowledge is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Murex MX.3 releases — automating build, test, and deployment workflows across Dev, UAT, and Production environments.
- Manage Murex platform environments on AWS — provisioning, configuration management, upgrades, and capacity planning for MX.3 infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain Terraform IaC configurations for Murex infrastructure provisioning and environment management.
- Manage Docker containerisation and Kubernetes orchestration for Murex platform components and microservices.
- Write and maintain Shell and Python scripts for Murex environment automation, batch management, and operational tooling.
- Manage job scheduling using Autosys or Control-M for Murex EOD / BOD batch workflows — configuring dependencies, SLAs, and alerting.
- Implement observability for Murex platform — Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog — monitoring environment health, batch SLAs, and infrastructure performance.
- Support Murex platform upgrades and patch deployments — conducting impact assessments,



coordinating release activities, and validating post-deployment integrity.
- Implement DevSecOps practices — secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance gates within Murex CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Murex developers, functional teams, and infrastructure teams — ensuring Murex platform delivery meets capital markets business and regulatory requirements.
- Produce clear technical documentation including deployment runbooks, environment guides, and infrastructure architecture diagrams.

What We're Looking For

- 5–8 years of DevOps / Platform Engineering experience with proven Murex MX.3 platform exposure in capital markets environments.
- Strong capital markets domain knowledge including financial instruments, trade lifecycle, and back office operations. Essential.
- Hands-on CI/CD expertise using Jenkins or GitLab CI for Murex release automation and deployment pipeline management.
- Solid AWS experience including EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, and IAM for Murex infrastructure hosting and management.
- Good Terraform skills for Murex infrastructure provisioning and configuration-as-code.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerised Murex platform component deployment.
- Strong Linux / Unix proficiency including Shell scripting for Murex environment automation and batch management.
- Hands-on experience with Autosys or Control-M for Murex EOD / BOD batch scheduling and monitoring.
- Good Python scripting skills for operational automation and Murex platform tooling.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills diagnosing Murex platform issues and production incidents rapidly.
- Positive communication skills engaging Murex developers, functional teams, and senior technology stakeholders effectively.
