Role Description The MRD Technician is a full time, on-site role based at United Superspeciality and Trauma Centre in Gondia. This role is responsible for maintaining, organizing, and updating medical records, including admission files, discharge summaries, diagnostic reports, and consent forms, in both physical and electronic formats. The MRD Technician will ensure accurate data entry, proper coding, and timely retrieval of records for clinical, administrative, and legal purposes.

Daily tasks include verifying patient information, tracking record movement, supporting audits, and maintaining confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.



The role also involves coordinating with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to resolve documentation gaps and improve record-keeping processes.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of medical record management, including filing systems, record retrieval, and archiving processes.
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and hospital documentation (admission notes, discharge summaries, investigation reports).
- Ability to work with hospital information systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and basic computer applications (MS Office).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with clinical and administrative teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle high volumes of records and meet deadlines.
- Diploma or certificate in Medical Records Technology, Health Information Management, or a related field; prior experience in a hospital MRD is an advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to medical records (e.g., retention policies, privacy and security requirements).
