Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mould Maintenance Engineer / Technician responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulds, troubleshooting mould-related issues, and ensuring moulds are maintained in valuable working condition for smooth production.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plastic injection moulds.
- Inspect moulds for wear, damage, cracks, and other abnormalities.
- Dismantle, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble mould components.
- Troubleshoot mould-related production problems such as flash, short moulding, mismatch, and dimensional issues.
- Maintain and replace mould components such as core, cavity, inserts, ejector pins, guide pillars, bushes, springs, and slides.
- Carry out mould polishing, fitting, grinding, and minor correction work.
- Check and maintain cooling channels, water leakage, hydraulic/pneumatic connections, and hot runner systems where applicable.
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for mould-related issues.
- Maintain mould maintenance records, checklists, and history cards.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Support mould trials and identify issues during trial runs.
- Ensure proper storage, cleaning, lubrication, and preservation of moulds after production.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, quality standards, and company maintenance practices.

Required Skills




- Good knowledge of plastic injection mould construction and maintenance.
- Knowledge of mould components and their functions.
- Ability to read 2D drawings and mould assembly drawings.
- Knowledge of basic measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, and Height Gauge.
- Basic knowledge of fitting, grinding, polishing, drilling, and assembly work.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Toolroom, and Quality teams.

Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical / Production Engineering.
- Relevant experience in plastic injection mould maintenance will be preferred.

Experience 0–3 years of relevant experience in plastic injection mould maintenance preferred.

Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered for junior positions.
