- Operate conventional / VMC milling machines as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Set up machines, tools, workpieces and cutting parameters.
- Perform milling, drilling, slotting, tapping and other machining operations.
- Check component dimensions using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Identify and correct basic machining defects.
- Follow production schedules and quality standards.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures in the machining area.
Required Skills
- 1–5 years of milling machine operating experience.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of tolerances and dimensions.
- SPM / automation component machining experience is an advantage.
