Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron.

At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for ‘end to end electronics architecture’.



The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi.

As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

About our Group

CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of ‘VW.OS”. The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Title: Automotive Tester – ADAS HiL Testing

Key Responsibilities

- Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing of ADAS ECUs and related automotive systems.
- Develop, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on system/software requirements.
- ECU flashing and hardware handling protocols
- Configure and operate HiL test benches for ADAS function testing.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system-level testing.
- Analyze test logs and identify deviations from expected behavior.
- Debug failures and perform root-cause analysis in collaboration with development and system engineering teams.
- Report, track, and verify defects
- Perform test automation using Python, CAPL, or other scripting languages.
- Support test workplace setup, configuration,



and maintenance.
- Generate test execution reports and communicate test status, defects, and risks to the project team.
- Participate in continuous improvement of test processes, test automation, and testing methodologies.
- Follow automotive development and quality processes such as ASPICE .

Required Technical Skills

- 2-4 years of experience in automotive testing, preferably ADAS testing.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS HiL testing.
- Good understanding of ADAS concepts and vehicle-level functions.
- Experience with automotive communication protocols:
- CAN / CAN FD
- Automotive Ethernet is an advantage

- Knowledge of CANoe
- Knowledge of Python, CAPL
- MATLAB/Simulink, or test scripting is an advantage.
- Understanding of ECU flashing, testing, diagnostics, and fault injection.

- Experience with HiL platforms such as dSPACE, NI, Vector, ETAS.(Any 1)
- Knowledge of ADAS sensors such as camera, radar, and LiDAR.
- Understanding of vehicle dynamics and automotive control systems.
- Knowledge of UDS diagnostics and ISO 14229.
- Basic understanding of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE).
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts for automotive software testing.
