Role Description The Merchandising Manager – Product Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Faridabad, responsible for leading product development and end-to-end merchandising activities for apparel and fashion categories. This role involves collaborating with design, production, sourcing, and quality teams to conceptualize collections, develop samples, finalize product specifications, and ensure alignment with client requirements and brand standards.

The Merchandising

Manager will manage buyer communication, negotiate costs and timelines, track orders, and coordinate with factories to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality and sustainability parameters. Daily responsibilities include analyzing market trends,



reviewing tech packs and samples, maintaining accurate documentation and merchandising calendars, and continuously optimizing product assortments to support business growth. The role also requires close interaction with international clients and internal stakeholders to drive innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Strong product development and merchandising skills, including experience in apparel categories, sample development, and managing tech packs and product specifications.
- Knowledge of sourcing and supply chain processes, including vendor management, cost negotiation, production planning, and coordination with factories and mills.
- Understanding of quality standards and compliance, including fabric and garment construction, fit and finish, and alignment with international quality and sustainability requirements.
- Proficiency in data analysis and documentation, such as tracking orders, maintaining merchandising calendars, using MS Office or relevant ERP systems, and preparing reports for internal and client stakeholders.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle international buyers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present concepts and collections clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Apparel Production, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in apparel manufacturing, garment exports, or fashion retail, preferably in a fast-paced, large-scale production setting.
