Gulshan Medicare is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist /Technologist for our team in Mumbai. You'll perform accurate, high-quality diagnostic testing that meets NABL (ISO 15189) quality standards and applicable Indian regulations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine and specialised diagnostic tests in haematology, clinical biochemistry, serology/immunology, clinical pathology (including urinalysis), parasitology and microbiology.
- Carry out tests according to validated SOPs, and review results for technical accuracy before they go to the authorised Pathologist/Microbiologist for sign-off.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory analysers and equipment, keeping maintenance logs up to date.
- Make sure samples are collected, labelled, transported, processed, stored and disposed of properly, with the chain of custody maintained throughout.
- Keep laboratory records, registers and LIS entries accurate, complete and confidential.
- Run internal quality control (IQC), take part in external quality assessment (EQAS/PT) programmes, and document corrective actions.
- Follow biosafety,



infection-control and biomedical waste procedures under the Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016.
- Support NABL accreditation, internal audits, and quality and continuous-improvement work.
- Comply with all applicable laboratory standards, statutory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT/BMLT), Biomedical Science or a related discipline from a UGC-recognised university or institution. An M.Sc. in MLT or a related field is preferred.
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory, preferably NABL-accredited, or in an IVD environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of laboratory testing, IQC/EQAS and quality management systems.
- Good working knowledge of automated analysers, LIS, laboratory procedures and safety standards.
- Registration with the Maharashtra Paramedical Council, or the relevant State Council under the NCAHP Act, 2021, where applicable.
- Strong attention to detail and disciplined documentation.
- Valuable communication.
- The job requires traveling.
