Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Coding Trainee based in Erode.

The Medical Coding

Trainee will assist in reviewing clinical documentation and applying appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes under supervision. The role involves learning and following coding guidelines, updating knowledge on payer and regulatory requirements,



and supporting accurate data capture for billing and reporting. The trainee will participate in structured training sessions, practical coding exercises, and case-based learning, while collaborating with senior coders and instructors.

The position also includes maintaining documentation quality, adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards, and developing skills for progression into independent coding responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational Medical Coding and Medical Terminology skills.
- Candidates should possess knowledge or education in Health Information Management and, where applicable, RHIT or equivalent credentials.
- Candidates should possess basic Coding Experience or internship exposure in clinical or healthcare documentation environments.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to interpret medical records accurately.
- Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to learn and apply coding guidelines and compliance standards.
- Relevant diploma or degree in health information management, life sciences, nursing, or a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Willingness to work in office in Erode and commit to structured training and continuous professional development.
