Odisha.News is hiring a Media Sales Executive to drive advertising revenue in Bhubaneswar.

This is a field sales / advertising sales role, focused on acquiring and managing advertising clients.

You will meet business owners, brands, marketing heads, advertising agencies and corporate clients, understand their promotional requirements and sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities across Odisha.News.

This is NOT a Digital Marketing, SEO, Social Media or Performance Marketing role.

What you'll do
- Generate new advertising leads through cold calling, networking, referrals and field visits.
- Meet potential advertisers and decision-makers across Bhubaneswar.
- Pitch Odisha.News advertising solutions and sponsorship opportunities.
- Develop relationships with brands, local businesses and advertising/media agencies.
- Prepare proposals and presentations based on client requirements.
- Negotiate and close advertising deals.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and convert leads into clients.
- Develop repeat business from existing advertisers.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly advertising revenue targets.




- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and follow-up records.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
- Follow up on client payments and collections.

What we're looking for

- 0–3 years of experience in sales, preferably media/advertising sales or field sales.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing/Sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling and client acquisition.
- Comfortable meeting clients face-to-face.
- Solid negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work with monthly sales targets.
- Self-driven and persistent approach to sales.
- Knowledge of the Bhubaneswar/Odisha business ecosystem will be an advantage.
