Job Location: Rajpura, Punjab

Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 5 -10Years

IT Skills: SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDWORKS CAM, AutoCAD, MS Project, ERP

Industry Exposure: Mechanical Engineering service provider, Machinery and plant engineering, automotive industry

Education

- BE/B.Tech–Mechanical/ Production Engineering (Preferred)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Knowledge
- Knowledge & application of Reverse Engineering Techniques (Know-How-Transfer, Localization, Technical Transfer)
- Excellent machine design/ mechanical engineering knowledge including processes like Fabrication sheet metal & welding), CNC Machining, Casting and Heat treatment. Experience with CAM software is a plus. Convert CAM tool paths into machine-ready G-code using post processors.
- Well versed in GD&T;, Surface finishes with sound technical basis for the same. Knowledge of different international standards (e.g ISO 13485, ASME14.5, ASTM, DIN, ISO and ANSI etc), in-depth knowledge of advanced engineering materials (metals / nonmetals)
- Awareness DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, VA/ VE Methodology

Role and responsibility
- Creates 3D-CAD models, including individual parts and assemblies in SOLIDWORKS system.
- Deriving 2D drawings from the 3D CAD models.
- Creating parametric drawings with GD&T; and complete engineering calculations.
- Designing jigs and fixtures for CNC single-part production and assembly
- Creates Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support procurement, manufacturing, testing and assembly.
- Creating master data in ERP& further maintaining standard times for individual parts and assemblies in the ERP system.
- Matching planned times and actual times of parts and assemblies to be produced.
- Entering into correspondence with the development departments in headquarter in USA
- Customize and maintain post processors for CNC machines (Fanuc, Siemens,



Fagor etc.)
- Provides technical and engineering support for day-to-day processing, product development and process improvements.
- Carrying out and agreeing on suggestions for improvements and changes to parts, assemblies and machines.
- Supports product sourcing, purchasing and selection of bought-out items based on BOM/Technical specification / Product catalogue
- Ensuring drawing/parts libraries are up to date and corrected regularly. Knowledge & application of design document version control.
- Perform engineering related activities like supplier interaction, field visits
- Participation in the calculation of quotations for a defined machine program.
- Providing technical inputs for derivation of cost per part calculation on Machining Centers.
- Take part in troubleshooting, fool proofing and failure analysis
- Work closely with fellow engineers and technicians to design and manufacture SPMs, jigs & fixtures, engineering components as well as auxiliary systems to support the overall architecture of various designs
- Responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models, assemblies and fabrication drawings using Auto CAD and 3D CAD packages.

Skills I.T. skills: ERP, MS-E, MS Project.

Communication: Very Good command on English language (speak, read, write) .

Experience:

- 5 to 10 Years of experience in field of designing of SPM, machine components, jigs and fixture etc. using CAD modelling and drafting system.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawing, Sheet Metal, Surface, Weldments)
- Solid grasp of GD&T;, tolerances, and machining standards (ISO/ASME).
- Experience with CAM software (SolidWorks CAM, CAM Works, Mastercam, NX CAM, or similar).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes (milling, turning, sheet metal, fabrication)
- Knowledge of CNC machines (3-axis, 5-axis, turning centers).
- Experience in localization& Technical transfers is desirable.
- Drafting with Linear Tolerances and GD&T; is must.
- Expertise in BOM preparation & working with ERP is must.
- Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) will be an added advantage.
