Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineering (Underwater / Defence Systems)

Role

Lead full-cycle mechanical development of underwater systems — concept to prototyping, testing, deployment

Drive architecture decisions on pressure housings, enclosures, sealing, thermal pathways, structural frames, hydrodynamic design

Manage multiple engineering projects against timeline, cost, and quality targets

Supervise field/offshore testing and post-deployment support

Own engineering documentation — design reports,



test protocols, FMEAs, BOMs

Mentor junior engineers; work cross-functionally with electronics/software/field teams

Must-haves:

B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent

6–8 yrs mechanical design experience, preferably robotics/marine/hardware NPD

Strong SolidWorks/Fusion 360; deep GD&T; and tolerance-stack expertise

Underwater system design exposure: pressure ratings, corrosion mitigation, sealing (O-rings, epoxy)

CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal design, DFMA

Willingness to work on-site/offshore for trials

Valuable to have: IECEx, ISO 9001, IP rating, MIL-STD, marine/navy defence standards familiarity
